Japanizi is produced by Toronto-based marblemedia, the production company behind the game shows Splatalot and The Adrenaline Project, makes children’s programs for television, web and mobile. The Japanese language is incorporated with the show, but it is mostly English. The studio-based kids' game show makes use of zany costumes, conveyor belts, dizzy chairs, giant fans and velcro walls with themed competitions and more. Japanizi is an adaptation of the ABC reality show I Survived A Japanese Game Show, originally called Big in Japan, and was created by David Sidebotham. The show's characters include a group of ninjas led by the English-translator ninja Shinobi and Glasses Man, who is one of the audience members. Yoshi Amao hosts, with Masayuki Hashimoto as "Judge Masa". The series first aired on YTV starting 5 November 2013 and in the United States on Disney XD as of 4 November 2013.
